In Chapter one of Republic's Radar Men From the Moon, scientist Commando Cody (George Wallace) and his friends Joan Gilbert (Aline Towne) and Ted Richards (William Bakewell) are advised by government official Henderson (Don Walters) that the mysterious explosions that have been crippling America's defense systems may be caused by atomic rays emanating from the moon. Taking action, Cody manages to prevent another disaster by using his flying rocket ship, thus angering Krog (Peter Brocco), an earthly emissary of the lunar dictator Retik. Deciding to look into matters more thoroughly, Cody, Ted and Joan travel to the moon by space ship and Cody gains access to the ruler's palatial headquarters. A defiant Retik (Roy Barcroft) takes time out from plotting an invasion of Planet Earth to explain how the moon's atmosphere is rapidly dwindling. When Cody remains unmoved by this serious piece of news, Retik shoots him at point blank range with an atomic ray gun.

Chapter two of Radar Men From the Moon reveals that Commando Cody (George Wallace) survived Retik's ray-gun blast by smartly diving out of range. After piping nitrous oxide into the lair and thus briefly incapacitating Retik (Roy Barcroft), Cody makes his escape with one of the atomic devices used to terrorize Planet Earth. Ted Richards (William Bakewell) helps him carry the heavy weapon along the lunar surface but our heroes come under attack by a couple of Retik's soldiers. They manage to find shelter in a cave but the enemy soldiers, Zerg (Tom Steele) and Alon (Dale van Sickel), use another atomic ray gun to melt the entire mountainside. The resulting stream of lava is threatening to engulf Cody and Ted as they desperately flee further into the mountain.

In chapter three of Radar Men From the Moon, Commando Cody (George Wallace) and Ted Richards (William Bakewell) discover a hitherto unseen side exit from the mountain and escape the molten lava. The expedition having accomplished its goal, the rocket ship returns to Earth where the welcoming party, a couple of police officers (Joe Bailey & Guy Teague), is engaged in a fierce gun battle with two of Retik's earthly henchmen, Graber (Clayton Moore) and Daly (Bob Stevenson). Outmatched by the newcomers, the latter make their escape with Cody in hot pursuit. The chase leads directly to a wooden bridge, which Graber cleverly mines. As chapter three reaches its conclusion, the bridge explodes and Cody's car plunges into the river below.

As Chapter four of Radar Men From the Moon reveals, Commando Cody (George Wallace) managed to leap from his car before the bridge exploded. Meanwhile, Krog (Peter Brocco), Retik's emissary on Earth, is swiftly running out of money and when a bank robbery turns sour he convinces Graber (Clayton Moore) to kidnap Commando Cody for ransom. Cody, alas, is not available so Graber takes off instead with poor Joan Gilbert (Aline Towne). Using his rocket suit, Cody is able to catch up with Graber's aircraft and the latter bails out after disabling the controls. As chapter four reaches its conclusion, the plane carrying Cody and Joan crashes into a mountainside.

Chapter five of Radar Men From the Moon reveals that both Joan Gilbert (Aline Towne) and Commando Cody (George Wallace) managed to bail out before the out-of-control plane crashed into a mountainside, she by parachute and he in his rocket suit. Their efforts to secure funding for the takeover of the Earth having failed thus far, the Moon invaders and their Earthly henchman Graber (Clayton Moore) commit a payroll robbery. That, too, goes awry and Graber is caught. He manages to escape before being questioned by Cody, however, and when the latter takes up the chase, his automobile crashes into a runaway ambulance operated by the enemy.

Both Commando Cody (George Wallace) and Ted Richards (William Bakewell) manage to bail out before their automobile slams into the runaway ambulance. Retik (Roy Barcroft), meanwhile, charges Krog (Peter Brocco) with dropping an atom bomb down the Mount Alta volcanic crater in the hopes of creating torrential rains and debilitating floods on Earth. Krog, who just happens to have a supply of nuclear bombs stored under his desk for just such an emergency, assigns the destructive task to Graber (Clayton Moore) and Daly (Bob Stevenson). Their dirty deed accomplished, the thugs hightail it to Clark Mountain but foolishly leave a trail for Cody to find them in his rocket suit. A fierce fight ensues during which our hero is brained by a rock hurled by Graber that sends him toppling off the mountain.

Pushed off Clark Mountain by Graber (Clayton Moore) in chapter six of Radar Men From the Moon, Commando Cody (George Wallace) manages to activate his rocket suit before crashing and is able to continue his investigation. At Benson's garage, Cody learns how Graber has outfitted a truck with one of Retik's (Roy Barcroft) ray guns. In an attempt to head off the truck at Carson Valley, Cody and Ted Richards (William Bakewell) come under fire from Graber and Daly (Bob Stevenson) who blow their aircraft out of the sky.

As chapter eight of Radar Men From the Moon reveals, Commando Cody (George Wallace) zoomed out of the aircraft in his rocket suit while Ted Richards (William Bakewell) escaped by parachute seconds before their aircraft was hit by Graber's (Clayton Moore) ray gun. Lunarium is desperately needed to protect the Earth against the invaders' powerful weapon and Cody, Ted and Joan Gilbert (Aline Towne) return to the Moon by rocket ship. With a little friendly persuasion and a sample of Joan fine home cooking, a captured Moon man, Robal (Noel Cravat), willingly reveals the location of the all-important material. Cody and Ted, using subterfuge, gain access to Retik's lair and successfully locate a box of lunarium. But their getaway vehicle, a stolen lunar scout tank, is rendered immobile by a ray gun blast and Ted flies out to attack the pursuers with hand grenades. Cody, meanwhile, attempts to repair a busted pressure line but a second blast severely damages his source of oxygen.

Having successfully taken the enemy tank out of commission, Ted Richards (William Bakewell) returns in time to repair Commando Cody's (George Wallace) air hose, thus saving his boss from suffocation. Returning to their rocket ship laden with lunarium, Cody, Ted, Joan Gilbert (Aline Towne) and the pilot, Hank (Wilson Wood), head for Earth. Except for a minor skirmish with Robal (Noel Cravat), their inter-planetary prisoner who is easily subdued, the trip back is uneventful. But the landing approach is met by a welcoming party consisting of henchmen Graber (Clayton Moore) and Daly (Bob Stevenson). When Cody answers their ray gun fire, the thugs explode a cliff above him causing an avalanche.

In chapter 10 of Radar Men From the Moon, Commando Cody (George Wallace) manages to locate a small cave and is saved from the avalanche caused by Graber's ray gun. Back at the Cody laboratory, as Commando recaps his past exploits for Hamilton (Don Walters), Graber (Clayton Moore) and Daly (Bob Stevenson) seal the door to the office and inject a noxious gas into the air-condition system.
